EW ha confirmado oficialmente que Christina Aguilera se desempeñará como productora ejecutiva en la producción teatral / musical "Burlesque: The Musical" adaptación de la película Burlesque que hizo con Cher y el director Steven Antin estrenada en el 2010. Se espera que el musical debute en Reino Unido en un futuro próximo.

EW has exclusively learned that Aguilera will serve as an executive producer on the stage production, adapted from the musical film she made with Cher and director Steven Antin.

Let's hear it for air rights and "Wagon Wheel Watusi," because Christina Aguilera is executive-producing a new stage musical based on her 2010 movie Burlesque.

EW has learned through a source that the Grammy-winning performer will serve as an EP on the adaptation, titled Burlesque: The Musical, which was written by the film's director, Steven Antin, and includes songs written for the film by Aguilera, Diane Warren, and Sia, with additional tunes created by RuPaul's Drag Race choreographer Todrick Hall and Jess Foley. It is expected to debut in the United Kingdom in the near future.

"Yes the stage musical adaptation is happening," Antin exclusively tells EW via email. "Very exciting."

Robin Antin, Steven's choreographer sister, also seemingly referenced the theater project in an Instagram post, in which a poster for the musical is visible in the background.

"This journey w my brother @stevenantin has been the most unforgettable experience… working together 24/7 on this beautiful new venture, (to be announced soon) is exactly what our Mum always wanted for us!" Robin wrote alongside a photo of herself and Steven. "And now here we are in her home, #LONDON , so sad she's not here to witness her dream, but we are doing it all for her, for YOU BRENDA!"

@untitleduser444: my prof just went to london to meet xtina to help produce the production and she said cher is involved too but she isn’t gon be at this meeting. she gets back monday and gon tell us about it then but like i’m literally soooo excited this is one of my favorite movies of all time
